In his quest to innovate, Dr. Bhatia launched Detel, a brand that captured the market with its most economical feature phone priced at just ₹299. This product became a massive hit, selling over 8 million units. However, facing intense competition and import dependencies, SG Group strategically decided to consolidate Detel and shift focus towards reviving iconic Indian brands.

Dr. Yogesh Bhatia’s entrepreneurial expertise spans diverse industries, including consumer electronics, IT, FMCG, and automotive. His leadership and innovative approach continue to drive SG Group’s mission of blending heritage with cutting-edge technology to create a lasting impact in the market.

REIMAGINING LEGENDS™

Under the initiative Reimagining Legends™ Dr. Bhatia spearheaded the acquisition and revival of three legendary brands: Zenith, LML, and Contessa. Zenith, India’s first PC brand, is set to make a significant comeback in the market. LML, renowned for its global footprint with over 8 million vehicles sold in more than 20 countries, is gearing up for a 2025 relaunch. Additionally, the group is collaborating with strategic partners to reintroduce Hindustan Motors Contessa, India’s first luxury sedan.
